Drone Pilot – South Region

Job Summary

Aerialair is on the lookout for a skilled Drone Pilot to manage both ground and aerial operations of our unmanned aircraft system across the South Bharat Region. In this role, you’ll be responsible for conducting pre-flight safety inspections, piloting drones, gathering data, and resolving any mechanical issues that arise. Additionally, your expertise will be crucial in making timely and informed decisions during flights, taking into account factors such as weather conditions, flight paths, battery life, technical specifications of the UAS, and mission objectives. Applicants should possess at least one year of experience in drone operations to be considered for this exciting opportunity.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee ground and flight operations
  • Monitor drones during flight
  • Plan drone flight routes/missions based on project requirement
  • Produce aerial images as needed (Line and Grid Missions)
  • Conduct flight demonstrations
  • Perform pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight safety checks
  • Upload data on time for processing
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations
  • Document pre and post flight logs
  • Operate a UAS in various weather and light conditions

Qualifications

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree
  • Hand-eye coordination
  • Good communication skill
  • Must have a valid passport
  • DGCA Certification.
  • Completion of training or a degree in aviation or a related field would be considered valuable
  • VTOL mapping drone experience would be considered valuable
  • Knowledge in Ground control point (GCP) collection using advanced survey techniques would be considered valuable.
