Duties and Responsibilities
- Work closely with the engineering and operations teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective mapping and visualization solutions.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in ESRI’s ArcGIS platform, including ArcGIS pro, ArcGIS online and ArcGIS Enterprise
- Good knowledge of software like Pix4d, Agisoft Metashape, ContextCapture, QGIS and Global Mapper
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in mapping technologies, GIS tools, and visualization techniques to ensure our solutions remain innovative and competitive.
- Drawings and project layout on AutoCAD and Google Earth using Global Mapper software.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of mapping and visualization functionalities to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team, helping to resolve any mapping or visualization-related challenges.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Front-End Engineer or Consultant, specializing in mapping, visualization, and animation.
- Extensive knowledge of GIS principles, mapping libraries (e.g., Mapbox, Leaflet), and data visualization tools (e.g., D3.js, Tableau).
- Strong understanding of web development best practices and responsive design principles.
